Brantley Gilbert celebrated Father’s Day early by releasing a new song, “Man That Hung the Moon,” in which he’s sharing a message to his son Barrett, as well as his yet-to-be born daughter.
“You’re gonna think I hung the moon/you’re gonna think I made the sky/that the sun rises and sets inside of my eyes,” he sings, before sharing his faults and revealing that he’s really singing about God.
“One of these days my son and future daughter are gonna realize I'm no superhero,” Brantley shares on Instagram. “When I have to tell them I'm not the man that hung the moon.... if I've done my job right... they'll know to hit their knees to find the Man who did.”
Brantley also shared some big news about his second annual “Kick It in the Ship” cruise, which is set for November 4th to the 8th. Brantley revealed the lineup of artists that will be joining him on the high seas, including Chase Rice, Lanco, Tyler Farr, Danielle Bradbery, Jon Langston, Colt Ford and more.
