Parker McCollum is gearing up to release his fourth full-length studio album, and the award-winning country star noted an unexpected milestone that he’s achieved with his next project.

Never Enough, McCollum’s forthcoming album, includes a song that marks the first time McCollum has ever used the word “beer” in his lyrics. Though it isn’t a drinking song — a common theme in country music — McCollum said he uses the word “beer” for the first time, and has had “a pretty good run” in his career avoiding it. He wrote in a tweet on Thursday afternoon (March 9):

“My 4th full length album comes out may 12th. It’ll be the first time I’ve ever said the word 'beer' in a song. I feel like that’s a pretty good run. It’s not a beer drinking song. But it says beer. And I’m proud that it took this long. Probably won’t ever happen again.”

So far, McCollum has released a few tracks from his upcoming album to give fans an idea of what to expect in his next era of music, including “Stoned,” “Handle On You” and “I Ain't Going Nowhere.”

McCollum is part of the all-star iHeartCountry Festival lineup on May 13, at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans across the country will able to tune in to all of the incredible live performances at this year's iHeartCountry Festival as the event will be broadcast on iHeartRadio country stations nationwide, and on iHeartRadio.com as well as the iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 13th at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
