Carrie Underwood Gets Sassy On Twitter

Typically, Carrie Underwood is just all around sweet.  But anyone who knows her, knows that her "Before He Cheats" side can come out if she needs it to.

That's what happened on Twitter after someone called out her new Sunday Night Football theme, "Game On."

Last week, SFN on NCB's Twitter account compiled a "slide from the right" video from commentator Chris Collinsworth. The video was definitely funny, and Collinsworth "slid in from the left" on Sunday night to show he was a part of the joke.

Jessica Smetana, a showrunner for Sports Illistrated, took this as a chance to dis Carrie's new Sunday Night Football Theme, "Game On," saying,

"I love that NBC has been reading everyone's Collinsworth slide tweets because it means they've also been reading all the tweets about how much we hate the new Carrie Underwood song."

Carrie, usually one to let things like this by without responding, had her sassy pants on and responded by saying,

"Hey, I know my music isn't for everyone, but I love what I do and I love being a part of @SNFonNBC! I am one lucky lady! I also love women who build other women up...just saying..."

Jessica, after seeing the tweet, responded on Carrie's thread that she was a fan, just that she didn't like the new SNF theme.

Then, after lots of backlash from Carrie's fans, she issued a tweet of apology.

Carrie then tweeted another response, asking her fans to back off on Smetana and calling for peace.

Do you like Carrie's new SNF theme?  If you're not a huge fan, you're probably not alone, just don't put it on Twitter.
