I hope everyone is getting back into the swing things after the Memorial Day weekend.  I was so grateful to spend time with family and friends.  The highlight of my weekend was attending the Coast 2 Coast Live Event at The Pour House Downtown Raleigh.  Coast 2 Coast Live is an interactive Hip Hop community that encompasses events, mixtapes, a magazine and more!  On May 26, over 20 Hip Hop Artists performed original songs in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

I wore a Bob Marley shirt, black high waist pants that I cut slits in, black peep-toe heels and black frame glasses.  Again a very simple outfit but I think it was perfect for a Hip Hop event.

My friend Shaunika accompanied me and she is one foxy lady!  Shaunika wore a sleeveless red top, a jean vest accented by three button pins (one was Sailor Moon, do yall remember her?), Army Fatigue pants and tan peep-toe wedges.

Attendees and artists came dressed to impress but the focus of the event was the music.  As soon as the first MC stepped on the stage the mood was set.  Each artist came to win and prove why they are the best at what they do.

I attended the event to support my classmate and brother Hawk from Burlington, NC.  He is a true lyricist and master of his craft.  Check out his song DRIP and I promise you will hit replay.  Follow @HAWKTHE9 to stay up to date with song releases and performances.

There are so many music events coming to the Triangle this summer!  Going to any concerts?  You know I want to know what you are wearing!  Leave me a comment or hit me up on Twitter so we can discuss looks!
