REVIEW: Miranda Lambert's "Living Like Hippies" Tour

Miranda Lambert kicked off her "Living Like Hippies" tour last night in Greenville, SC! Playing to a sold out crowd of almost 16,000 people, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, and Brent Cobb showed everyone that true country music is still alive!

Brent Cobb got the crowd warmed up with his honest to God country music. The crowd loved his sound and his performance, and you could tell early that they were ready to have fun!

Jon Pardi, who is a star without a doubt, took the stage with a confidence I've never seen before. The crowd went crazy, cheering for every song he played! From his #1s, to b-sides, to covers, Jon Pardi proved he is a star, and promising to be a superstar in our format soon!

By the time 9pm rolled around, the crowd was for Miranda! The pre-show music started blaring Lenny Kravit's "American Woman" which had the entire venue dancing and singing! The lights went down, and the crowd went crazy! As the band started playing, Miranda casually walked out and owned the stage! From the first note, you knew Miranda was ready to rock the crowd! Her fierceness on stage was incredible, and she was putting on one hell of a show! She played all her #1s, cuts off of 'Weight Of These Wings', and the songs you love singing along to! She connected with an adorable little girl, pulling her on stage to sing and dance with her and the band, saying, "She's just so cute!"

While the band took a break, Miranda invited Brent Cobb back out to play "Old Shit" with her, and then directly into one of her most raw songs. She said, "love kicked my ass back in 2015, but I got some great songs out of it."

There wasn't a moment on stage that Miranda wasn't smiling and having the time of her life. She and the band were connecting at every moment, even doing an amazing cover of Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way". It may have been the first night of the tour, but Miranda and the band seemed like they have been on tour forever.

Miranda didn't need costume changes, wearing a black jean skirt, a black with white stars shirt, and red fringe. She owned the stage and showed everyone that not only is country music alive and well, but WOMEN in country music are stronger than ever! Miranda yet again proved why she's a superstar in country music, and proved yet again why she deserves the respect she has in our format today!

Miranda, you are AMAZING! Your show is going to be hard to top this year, and it's only January! If the "Living Like Hippies" tour is coming through your town or near you, GO SEE IT!
