Emily Francis was attending a taping of Ellen, not knowing she was going to be on the show.
Mrs. Francis is an ESL teacher at W.M. Irvin Elementary School in Concord, NC. She has a remarkable story and came to the US when she was 15 with her siblings. She learned English by watching Ellen's show and Ellen loved her story so much, so wanted to help her and her students out!
A special guest showed up and they presented Mrs. Francis quite the check to bring back home to NC. Check it out!
