Brad Paisley’s forthcoming album Moonshine in the Trunk comes with a very Presidential connection.
The Rising Star expert tells Billboard he mixed the song “Me and Jesus” while on board Air Force One with the POTUS on the way to Afghanistan to honor the troops there on Memorial Day.
“I cut the track the day before we left,” he says. “I had all the files and opened up the computer and thought, ‘I’ll get to work on this.’ It didn’t take too long. It’s only my voice and a guitar. It was mixed somewhere over the Black Sea.”
The song is no doubt the only song to have ever been mixed aboard the famous jet.
And he didn’t disembark from the flight empty handed.Brad goes on to say he pocked shot glasses, matches and towels from Air Force One.
Moonshine in the Trunk flies onto playlists everywhere August 26.
