Posted Thursday, May 9th 2013 @ 4pm

The mother of a woman who died during the sinking of a ship off the Outer Banks during Superstorm Sandy has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the vessel.  Fourteen of the sixteen crew members of the HMS Bounty were rescued; the captain was never found and one sailor died.  That sailor's mother accuses the owner of negligence in allowing the ship to sail.
